forms3.0 & stored procedures in 7.2

There seems to be some problem while calling a db7.2 stored procedure in forms 3.0 (on Solaris 2.5 platform).
I found out, that passing in-out type parameters need to be at least 2 characters long to have them back in forms. Now I added one in-type literal-parameter while calling this procedure and I just get coredumbs while generating this forms. Any idea what this might be about ?
