call_form, inheriting menu

Hello,
from my main form I'm calling some other forms
using the call-form-built-in. I'm calling with the
parameter NO_REPLACE. I'm using a menu
with button bar. The buttons do not appear in
the text-menu, only below.
Everything's fine, until I do a call_form. Then the
whole thing gets messed up. Buttons appear partly
in the text_menu. Text is not readable anymore.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any ideas, questions?
