These will work very well with Developer (we use PVCS), but not with Designer. There is a product for configuration management of Designer. It was being demonstrated at the UK Oracle User Group Conference a couple of years ago. I think was by a company named Activ (or else the product was called Activ). It had hooks into the Designer repository itself.

I've not used it, and it would almost certainly be expensive. However if you want version control in Designer 1.3 properly implemented, you'll have to use something like it.

Alternatively, use a paper system.

You can check who's been changing things in Designer by choosing to see that Audit properties on every item within the Repository Object Navigater, and making sure your Developers log in under individual user names.

You can also trying to use the locking facilities, and also checking in and out sets of objects, but these are all rather naff.
