Yes and no.... some bar code scanners are wedge readers, i.e. there's a y-cable between the keyboard and PC. Other scanners are connected via a serial port, parallel port, etc. We use a lot of wedge readers here, (in Forms 4.5 apps) and it's as simple as reading from the keyboard. If you want something like a scanning laser reader (a la grocery checkout style), I suspect you'll have a different interface to deal with.
