Re: Forms 5.0 and Personal Oracle 8

I hate to be this way, but all I did was install dev 2K 2.1 then PO8. Don't put a connect string in forms 5.0 and if the variable LOCAL is defined in the registry, you will need to remove it.

More specifically, because I installed them in that order, the latest version of SQL*Net (not NET8) was automatically installed by PO8. The same is true for he latest required support files. Why it would net the SQL*Net 2.x files to connect locally, I am not sure, but it seems to need them.

SQL*Net 2.3.4.0.2
PO8 8.0.4
Oracle 8 utilities 8.0.4
Oracle 7 utilities 7.3.4
Required Support files 8.0.4 and 7.3.4.1.1
