Viewing Contents of Long Raw in Forms 5

Can anybody suggest how i can view or even better extract/export the contents of a long raw from oracle 7 or 8 database using forms 5 ?

another 3rd party tools is inserting these word docs into a long raw column but how can i use forms 5 or even sqlplus to either view / extract / export the word docs ?

any help much appreciated
