automating client installations

Client Software Manager would work except I have little control over the security permissions on the LAN. I hesitate to create a shared ORACLE_HOME [Quoted] on the LAN without being able to set-up read only access. Please straighten [Quoted] me out of my concern is misplaced.

A script that would kick off the installer, select the software, and answer [Quoted] the prompts would be ideal.

Also, any pointers on creating my own PRD files would be helpful.
