text color of listbox (type combo)

Does anyone known how to change the color of the text in a listbox of type combo. I have many forms and a lot of them have listboxes. First I had them of style poplist and then it's possible to give them a color other then black on white.

I had to change the style of these listbox from poplist to combo because of a conflict with an active timer. When the timer is active the user has to click on the listbox twice to constantly show it's content. The first time it will disappear after a short amount of time and that's very frustrating. A listbox of style combo doesn't have this problem so I changed them to combo. But now I can't change the text color!!!

If anyone knows what's going on and how to solve, please let me know.
