What I mean is that it's not probable that Quest will maintain SqlNavigator and Toad as separate products for a very long time. The products will be competing, and it must be bad strategy for the company to keep two development teams going for ever. And, according to Quest, the current price is a "special introductory price", so we must expect the price to increase. If all Toad users (are fooled to) enter this deal, Quest certainly will have a lot of new customers.
The Toad product was good to have as long as it lasted, but now I must wonder if it's worth the price, or whether I should consider other products. The Toadman certainly did a heroic job, and I can understand that the work with Toad became too much in the end.
