I've seen demos (hands-on) with Netscape and the JInitiator Forms plugin. Performance looks fine and so do the forms themselves. But, the Form server (Application Server) must sit outside the firewall, since the socket connection back to the browser with the plugin is not a standard http socket. On a local LAN/corporate intranet, this may not be a problem at all. Unless you are willing to open up your firewall to a new socket, this is a bad problem for which Oracle has no solution at all.
