Using the Forms Logon command should work well. I have never had any trouble with it.

I use it in my QA Utility form (downloadable from http://members.aol.com/stevec5088 ) when you type "LOGON" in the screen name field. In fact, I often switch from on form over to QA, change my logon connection, then switch back to the form I am working with -- this enables testing a form while connected to two different servers, where I have different versions of the test data.
