The only way I got it to work was to use the when-new-item-instance and change the format of the :system.trigger_item to MMDDYYYY or in our case MMDDRRRR (allows 2 digit year with y2k rollover). Then in the post-text-item trigger change the format back to DD-MON-YYY or what ever.
