ProC dynamic sql meth 4 and BLOB(s) - example please

Hi,
Can a kind soul at Oracle provide a working ProC example using dynamic sql method 4 and select BLOB data? We have used the example code from the Oracle Manual on a Windows NT 4.0 system with Oracle 8.0.4 and we can only do inserts successfully. Any select produces a core dump.
I guess many developers have the same need.
