This plugin is available on Oracle's technet site (http://technet.oracle.com/ and via anon ftp at ftp://oracle-ftp.oracle.com /dev_tools/outgoing/forms/jinitiator/ - it does do some caching, albeit only for the running session. (if you close your browser and start again you loose the cache). Another method, if you are not using Oracle Applications is to use Sun's Java Plugin which also has the same level of caching. The main differences is that the Oracle plugin is bundled with Oracle's oJDK, a hybrid of the Sun product.

The main thing to remember here is that a straight applet call doesn't work to invoke the plugin - you must use the object and embed tags in your html to fire the plugin. Have fun :)
