Hello,

     Does anyone have any advice regarding which Web browsers are best to use with applications developed using version 2.1 of Des2k and installed on Oracle Web Application Server 3.0.1? The reason I ask is that I cannot get the Des2k [Quoted] tutorial or another starter app to run quite right with any of the browsers I have used. With Internet Explorer 4.0.1 and with Netscape Navigator 4.0.6, each page of the application gives a javascript error like:

JavaScript Error:
{application startup URL},
line 6:

missing ; before statement.

VAR FORMTYPE = "QUERY";
....^

The first bit of HTML source looks like:

<BASE HREF={base URL}>
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE> : PRICED PRODUCTS</TITLE>
<SCRIPT>
<!-- Hide from old browsers

VAR FORMTYPE = "QUERY"; Does anyone know what's happening here? Is there something wrong with the javascript that Des2k is generating? Is this javascript unsupported by the latest browsers for some reason? Are earlier versions of Explorer or Navigator more compatible with the Des2k 2.1 javascript? Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Cary
