It should be the same as the database alias used in SQL*Plus.

Just as a long shot, check to make sure the [ORACLE_HOME]\Bin directory is on your path. I have seen many instances where the installer did not update the autoexec.bat file properly under 95.

If it is, maybe Net8 is messing with it. You could possibly try a newer version of OO4O. Mine is 2.2.3.
