Open Interface tables in Oracle Assets

We are trying to create open interface tables in Oracle assets to do asset transfers and deletions, similar to fa_mass_additions for additions. If anyone has experience doing retirement and transfer transactions by manually updating the tables, rather than through the application, I would appreciate any solutions / problems you may have encountered.
