While I understand the poster's viewpoint, I may be biased by the fact that I work on larger, multi-platform systems. Crystal is a great product (and I wish Oracle would learn some aspects of handling the developer's environment from products such as Crystal), but if you need to have your report product interact with programmatic aspects of the database, or if you want a product which can run on more than just the Windows interface (or if you have other more specific needs such as the ability to generate reports from Designer 2000), then Oracle Reports is the better bet. If you are in a Microsoft dominated environment, and if your report generation requirements are modest, then Crystal is the better choice.
