Forms4.5:Problem in Querying,please help

[Quoted] I'm creating an application in Forms4.5 in which i've created two blocks on [Quoted] the same canvas and both the blocks are from the same base table.In the first [Quoted] block, the user can enter query and in the second block i want to execute the [Quoted] query or i want to show the results of the query in the second block. The layout of the first block is form and the layout of the second block is tabular so that i can show more than one record. In the first block it's like, Search on City ----- and in the next block i want to display the result [Quoted] of this query. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Thanks.
