UN*X utility for entering/editing PL/SQL commands?

I would like to hear some suggestions on UN*X utilities available for entering and editing SQL and PL/SQL commands against a database as well as viewing the results. The SQL*Plus interface is obviously not very friendly in that sense.

OEM, as a bad example, has the SQL Worksheet, although it too is somewhat limited.
