Oracle Reports for printing labels

Does anyone out there use Oracle Reports to print barcode labels ina production environment?

We're trying to use Reports to print simple barcode labels with a company logo etc ..... the performance is just pathetic - 45 -75 seconds to print each label, which is obviously unacceptable in a warehouse when receiving goods.

We are currently considering using other products (LabelView etc), but it's a shame - we already know Reports pretty well and don't have the time to learn a new product.

Any ideas ?
