  Ovidiu,

I have been using Delphi 3.0 and Developer 2000. 1. Delphi with the BDE against Oracle is problematic and slow. If you wan to use

Delphi use a product from The Netherlands called DOA (Direct Oracle Access and not dead on arrival). It uses the Oracle OCI and not ODBC. It is fast and it will save you a lot of work. You can download it from the Delphi Super Page. 2. Delphi looks good and you can build impressive applications. However once you

get to build large applications with multiple developers we found Dev2000 easier.
3. Building database applications we found faster in Dev/2000 than Delphi. You have to spend too much time building classes etc in Delphi before you can concentrate on you application.
4. Formbuilder 5.0 Dev/2000 version 2.1 improves a number of things 5. Building database applications out of the box is quicker and easier then in Delphi.
6. We have decided to move our development work back to Dev/2000, but this is partly because we have a bit more experience in Forms than Delphi. But everybody is entitled to their opinion and personal choice.
