Hi,

[Quoted] I'm running Solaris2.5, Oracle 7.2.3.0.0, and all is well. Now I want to use JDBC thin for web based browsing.

I have installed Sql*net 2 and the TCP/IP adapter but when it comes to linking the executables I get the following errors:

 Undefined first referenced
 symbol in file

I have checked the manual and it says the errors may be caused by improper previous installations (I've recently replaced someone). As I do not know how to remove the undefined references (maybe someone else does) I decided to deinstall and then reinstall SqlNet and TCP/IP adapter but when I run orainst to deinstall I get as far as selecting the options to remove and click the remove button only to get the following error:

   ocommon.dei(161): Unbound variable 'Sql_Log'

What does this mean...how can I fix it??

Pints of Guinness for suggestions or words of comfort.

TIA
