Hmmm I'm having the same trouble. My Oracle 8 works fine :) I can build all my tables etc. My developer works but when I try and connect to the database it gives me an error ORA-03121. The reason for this is due to developer still using SQL*Net v2.x and not Net8. Oracle support informs me that Net8 and SQL*Net v2.3.4 are completely interoperable. What this means is that you need to copy your sqlnet.ora and tnsnames.ora files from $ORACLE_HOME/net80/admin to $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin.

Try it out. If you have any luck then let me know (I am still trying to get this to work).
