We are using Impromptu and Powerplay from Cognos, works great. Being an Oracle site, we also use Oracle Reports and Discoverer, which are also great tools for reporting. Most of the tools have the same functionality overall, so there is not much difference. Alle have those fantastic Windows feelings with lots of frames and virtual goodies..
I guess it comes back to choosing a standard based on price and integration aspects and performing. Oracle knows its own tools the best I guess, and by using Oracle Report server you can bring performance issues back to the server...
