Access 2.0 is a 16 bit application and requires the 16 bit ODBC driver.

Access 95 and forward require the 32 bit ODBC driver.

Both should work with the SQL net. Most people are running a 32 bit SQL net protocol. This does not effect the ODBC driver. They are appropriately layered to avoid problems.

Yes, you can run both the 16 bit and 32bit ODBC drivers on the same machine. Just remember to name them so they are easily differentiated. I have used both on the same machine.
