Hello,
On Windows 3.11 we control the paper tray of a "HP LaserJet 4" during runtime by putting (printer specific) escape sequences on the margin of the report.
On Windows NT 4.0 the escape sequences are visibly printed rather than executed. So no control of the paper tray takes place.
We found out that the whole report output is now transfered to the printer as raster graphics instead of characters (mixed with positioning information).
We suppose that the Windows NT printer driver causes this behavior.
Does anyone know the answer to one of these questions:
- How can we manipulate the Windows NT printer driver to behave like the Windows 3.11 driver?
- How can we change the escape sequence on the margin of the report to be accepted as printer control sequence?
- What Windows NT driver can be used to obtain the desired behaviour?
- How can we use the old Windows 3.11 printer driver under Windows NT?
- any other possible solution ??
Thanks in advance.
