A couple things - first off you need to use javakey to create a certificate - the info on doing this is in the readme file, (or release notes) in the doc directory of the forms installation - this creates identitydb.obj, which when put in your java path (if your using a browser it's got to be in the browser path also) will eliminate the yellow bar.
You might also want to note that Oracle is not supporting jdk1.1.6, they have their own special version of java (1.1.5oe I think) - there's some functionality that's available here and not there (some alternate region stuff).
That said - Oracle is releasing a java activator (they licensed the code from Sun) that will run as a plugin and install the Oracle jdk - this is available in beta right now, and is scheduled to ship at the tail of this month. They're calling it the JInitiator. I think it makes a thin client fat, but don't see a way around using it.
