There are so many advantages to AppWorx vs. Oracles Concurrent Manager:

Here are just a few.

can incorporate concurrent manager jobs with others(i.e. ftps, cron, from other - applications or other concurrent managers) into one report set. - in defining a report set you must define it as either serial or parallel for all steps. In Appworx, you can mix. - easy to use calendars, setup run calendars and skip calendars. - event based scheduling of jobs( concurrent manager cannot do) - easy migration of concurrent manager report sets( via interface )

All this and it's all point and click. If you were to try half of these things with concurrent manager you would need some pretty complex unix scripts to tie it together. Than who is going to maintain. AppWorx is easy to use, setup and maintain because of there GUI front end.
