sql*plus and blank lines.

Hi there... I'm trying to place a package into our database via sql*plus. The package is in a .sql file. When I look at the package in the database all the blank lines have been removed. I know that sqlplus is doing this. Is there any way to tell sql*plus to leave the blank lines alone? I know you can use the -- to represent a blank line but it start to look messy.
