Someone I know was experiencing something similar and I think it was
resolved by reinstalling Windows 95 (though 'add new hardware'on the control
panel may have done the trick). Reading between the lines it would appear
that the PC in question had had its W95 dumped onto it across a network and
consequently was confused and thought its memory was what it wasn't. (I am
being a bit creative here !)
