I assume you mean "when you're using 8 but without any of the new functionality" - otherwise you're comparing apples and asteroids.
I've never used V7 on NT, so can't comment specifically, but 8 seems OK to me. I just wish Oracle would get around to finishing the SCO OpenServer port of 8 so I can get back to something I know and like!
