        Hello folks,

I have a few questions concerning the applet functionality with regards to Dev/2000. When an applet is run by the Application server and the FMX file, what exactly is run on the client side? From what we have seen here, the applet for a moderately complex form runs quite slow. Where does the functionality lie? How much of the functionality is controlled on the client side? For example, if a table column is sorted, that would generally require a trip back across the network to the server since SQL is executed. What if the table is resized on the applet? Something like that seems painfully slow. There doesn't seem to be any class files transmitted to the client side, since it appears that the applet is generated on the fly.

The application we are developing will be used on a network that could have several hundred users, so it would be nice to minimize traffic in order to keep things running relatively quickly.

                        Thanks to all for reading,

                                        Jason
