I don't know about Australia, local marketing might vary. In the UK they used to do a 90day evaluation thing for students. I was promised one and when it didn't arrive followed it up with them. Further promises were received. Eventually, after 8wks, I got someone who told me that they had discontinued the scheme 6mths before. I was not very impressed.
They said they had a new scheme where, if you are a student, you can get Personal Oracle 7 (or 8 for that matter - but they say they have been withdrawing it as the Personal 8 doesn't work properly) and Developer 2000 for 180pds together. It is a full working version with no time limit, but it won't network.
