Unless your webserver's name is host, you've got a problem. When you
are doing the installation, you are prompted to enter in the machine
name (the name the ip address of the machine is mapped to in DNS). This
is what should be filled in the URL instead of host. So if your machine
name is web1.mycompany.com the url you should connect to is
http://web1.mycompany.com:8888/ows-abin/boot. The other possible
problem you might have is that you didn't start the administration web
listener. Before you can connect, you need to go to $ORAWEB_HOME/bin
and execute the commands owsctl start admin.
