Oracle datatypes in Access

[Quoted] One of our customers is attaching Oracle tables into his Access application but some of the NUMBER fileds are coming through as type Text.

It seems that it depends on thenumber of digits in the NUMBER field.

Has anyone come across this or does anyone have any workaround suggestions?
