I use it all the time. It's kind of like DOS. It's a sucky low-level line oriented interface, but I can do anything I want in it. The high-level GUI oriented tools have many benefits, but at times I prefer to trouble myself to write actual syntactically correct DDL statements. But I do use a text editor on the side to develop multiline statements, then paste them into SQL*Plus.
