I'm in the phase of deciding for a development tool for a new application. I'm on a tight schedule for developing the application and need a tool that is very productive. That's why I'm considering Power Objects. At the same time the application must run also against an Informix database.
I have the following questions before definitely deciding for OPO:
- Is it really a productive development tool (as claimed)?
- What is the future of OPO?
- Does anyone knows of any references of companies/organizations using OPO for development?
- Is it easy (I suppose via ODBC) to access another RDBMS e.g. Informix?
- What are the major differences between OPO and Visual Basic (and PowerBuilder)?
Any help welcome.
Thanks
