Power Objects

I'm in the phase of deciding for a development tool for a new application. I'm on a tight schedule for developing the application and need a tool that is very productive. That's why I'm considering Power Objects. At the same time the application must run also against an Informix database.

I have the following questions before definitely deciding for OPO:

1. Is it really a productive development tool (as claimed)?
2. What is the future of OPO?
3. Does anyone knows of any references of companies/organizations using OPO for development?
4. Is it easy (I suppose via ODBC) to access another RDBMS e.g. Informix?
5. What are the major differences between OPO and Visual Basic (and PowerBuilder)?
