Oracle Express vs Business Objects

I am involved in a project which will use an Oracle database on a Sequent server, connected to an NT box(Web server) to external clients. We are looking at developing the middleware with either business objects or Oracle Express. Does anyone have any relevant experience with these products which might facilitate our decision - both companies have given impressive presentations but what I'm looking for is real world experience. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
