Error ORA-02715 during database export

[Quoted] Our company is running Oracle 7.1.4 on Unisys U6000/580 (dual Pentium-120) Unix SVR4 ver 1.4. Recently we added an RAID disk to the machine and since then when we performed an Oracle export, we will encounter an ORA-02715 error (pipe driver receives an incorrect message type from Unix) and aborted.

[Quoted] We experienced different buffer size (from 4096 to 100000) and we found that the larger the buffer size, the earlier we will encounter the error. Any idea?
