    I only worked with 2.x and 3.x, so here are the differences     the way I saw 'em :

    As far as PL/SQL interaction goes they finally closed     direct access to those htp.* etc functions ( nice security     feature), DCD were renamed DADs :), managins ones is     also more lucid, the whole thing is more CORBA then before :),     one is allowed to specify the extent to which the WWW Server     will explain what happened when errors occur ( great feature,     I always comment out my own exception processing code when     debugging and let OWS handle it ).
