I have noticed while running Reports in batch mode in the UNIX environment the /tmp filesystem free space slowly shrinks... for long running reports free space eventually hits 0% and then ...

REP 0081: Error during I/O Operation.
REP 0124: Unable to write to the temporary file scafa 3.

The /tmp filesystem is already quite large and I know there must be a way to tell Oracle Reports to use some other directory to write to? REP_TMP, TMPDIR, and tmpdir environment variables have all been tried without success.

Anyone else run into this? What does Reports use the tmp space for? Is there a way to tell Reports to use another directory for this tmp space? Received on Thu May 08 1997 - 00:00:00 CEST
