I use PVCS 5.nn 16 bit version to configuration manage Oracle objects as well as Visual Basic objects.

My experience is that PVCS works like a document manager and not like an 'active' file manager. It simply archives files into an archive area with a v at the end. So if you have two files with identical names except for the last one character in the 8.3 format, PVCS can not manage both the objects.

But for small projects (less than 200-300 objects) it is OK.

Newer versions may provide additional features.
