Hi Pro's
Was wondering how do I display on a form the record number in a column format. Lets say I have 10 columns that are defined in my table, with 50 records. How do I see the record numbers on my form, how do I querry for it etc ? Don't think I need to have an extra column for that ? Correct ??, So each time a new record is somewhere added, the index, will be incremented by 1. Is that build in to the DBMS ? or do I need to handle it manually. Don't want the user to have to manually enter it.... dahhhh :o)
I looked at :
GENERATE_SEQUENCE_NUMBER in the docs
don't know if that would do what I need ? Is that something that just
can be turned on ?
But right now forms knows how many items are in my table . How ??
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks
