Hi !
This is my configuration..
Machine: HP K420 2 CPU's Memory : 1.5gig OS :HPUX 10.20 RDBMS :7.1.6
Oracle Applications:10.6.1(# of modules - 7)
My export file size is 145MB.
Time taken for the import(without indexes)-> 10 hours
I've run this import with different combinations of buffer(upto to 5MB), used single task import(just to try and i was told this is not supported) and still the best time was 10 hours. What I've observed is the import of the rows is done in the first 2 hours and the rest of the time(8 hours) is taken up for compiling the procedures/packages etc.(which are approximately 4000).Avg. time to compile each one of these is 7sec.
Has anyone experienced anything of this sort in the same environment?
If so could u throw some light?
Thanks
Mohan
