ascii-->long raw

Hello everybody!

I have a quite simple question, i think. But i am standing on the "Schlauch" like we german use to say.

I have an ASCII-Text and I want to put it in a LONG RAW databasefield. I want to manage it within a FORMS 4.5
application without any external programs. The problem is not to read the ASCII-text but converting varchar2 to raw! Please help!
