import: ora-01732: data manipulation operation not legal on this view

Hi gurus!

while running a user import (7.0), at a certain table (which has no views), i got the following error:

IMP-00003: ORACLE error 1732 encountered ORA-01732: data manipulation operation not legal on this view

then it went on to continue to import the other tables.

we run this import regularly, no maintenance done recently (i think). i've never seen this error before, could it be a contention problem?
