FRM-10044 Error on HP-UX 10.2

I am having a similar problem, but on the HP-UX 755s. I don't know of a TMP environment variable on this platform. I have already lost more than 2 full days work on 2 different applications in the last 10 days. Any advice or help would be GREATLY appreciated.
