Designer 2000-Table to entity retrofit (re-engineer) bug

I am using Designer 2000 rel 1.2 and have encountered the following bug:
When I do a Table to entity retrofit,
select my candidate table and then
reverse engineer option --->
The entity is created but some of the attributes have their first few characters missing. eg. LEAVE_TYP becomes AVE_TYP,
LST_UPD_DT becomes ST_UPD_DT,
END_DT becomes ND_DT
