Print a long field in MS Word

Is is possible to write a field of LONG datatype in MS Word through
the use of OLE?
The problem is that I can only write VARCHAR2 using
word.inserttext (VARCHAR2);,
but I don't know how to write a LONG field in MS Word.
I would appreciate any clear way to do so. Thanks a lot.
